Meet our team
Aníbal Hernández
From a young age, I have always had a passion for construction. Between the ages of 8 and 12, my favorite activity was building shelters in the woods of Spain. This interest likely stems from my father, who dedicated his life to cabinetmaking and woodworking. I pursued a three-year program in drafting, which I didn’t complete, but during that time, I developed a keen ability to think ahead and anticipate the next steps in a project.
Afterward, I completed a metal carpentry course and began my career in a truck workshop, followed by five years as a plumber’s helper. It was during this period that I honed my skills in the traditional way, as my master always demanded nothing less than excellence from me.
Between 2014 and 2016, I dedicated my time to volunteering in Guatemala with a non-profit organization, primarily focused on constructing schools using recycled materials.
When I arrived in the USA in 2016, I joined a framing company, which helped me acclimate to the distinct building methods here compared to those in Spain. By 2018, I transitioned into renovation work, and in 2023, I proudly established RenovAst as a sole proprietorship.
